Vincent Napoleone, 86, of Newport, Vermont, was called home by the Lord on September 11, 2026. He passed away at home, surrounded by his loving family, after a long battle with dementia.

A beloved husband, father, grandfather, and brother, Vincent previously lived in East Moriches, New York, and Ocala, Florida, before making his home in Newport, Vermont.

Vincent shared a lifelong love with his wife, Marie. Together since they were 18, they celebrated 62 years of marriage, building a life filled with love, family, and cherished memories.

Vincent proudly served his country in the United States Navy. His dedication to serving others continued through his 20 years as a volunteer firefighter with the East Moriches Fire Department. He was also an active member of the American Legion in Eastport and the Veterans of Foreign Wars in Center Moriches.

While living in Florida, Vincent combined his love of motorcycles with a cause close to his heart: raising money for Shriners Children’s Hospital. Through his involvement with the Shriners Motorcycle Club and the Over the Hill Gang, he helped support children and their families. He also enjoyed riding with the Gold Wing Motorcycle Group and the Marion Landing Motorcycle Group.

Vincent loved fishing with his family, golfing, and dancing in his younger years. He enjoyed cooking for events and gathering with others for a game of pool, cornhole, or bowling. These times spent together will remain treasured memories for his family and friends.

Vincent is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Marie Napoleone; his daughter, Donna Schumchyk, and her husband, Thomas Schumchyk; his grandchildren, Justin and Christina Schumchyk; and his sister, Marie DeBono. He was preceded in death by his parents, Salvatore and Mildred Napoleone.

His legacy of love and service lives on through his family and the many people he helped throughout his life.

Funeral services will be held September 22nd at 11am at the Vermont Veterans National Cemetery with full military honors. Online condolences are welcomed at curtis-britch.com.
