Suzanne Maple

Suzanne Maple, born in August 1944, passed away peacefully Thursday Sept 24th, leaving behind a legacy of love and kindness, particularly through her love language of food. She was a devoted wife to Robert Maple, sharing 59 wonderful years of marriage. Together, they built a home filled with warmth and laughter, meeting at Derby Academy as childhood sweethearts and becoming life partners. Suzanne was a cherished mother to Timothy Maple and his wife Laurie, Tamara Harbec and husband Marcel, Daniel Maple and his wife Brenda and Talia Holcomb and her husband Jay. She was also a beloved grandmother to Maygan, Brittany, Kristy, Ashley, Kylie, Triston, Thomas, Audrey, Austin, Nathan, and great-grandmother to Katie, William, Lauren, Liam, Ayden, Jakob, Emmitt, Ellanor, Tucker, Adaline, Cayden, Lenna, Knox, and Ivy. Her nurturing spirit extended beyond her family, as she worked as a nurse, baker, childcare provider, and foster mother. Suzanne was known for her famous donuts and her ability to make everyone feel welcome and loved through her cooking. She truly was a superwoman, always ensuring that those around her had a full stomach and a full heart. Suzanne was preceded in death by her parents Clayton and Gertrude Kelley, stepfather Harold Kidder, brother Leonard (Skip) and son Thomas. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her, but her laughter and kindness, especially through her culinary creations, will continue to bring smiles to those who remember her.
