Dwight E. Moulton April 19, 1949 – October 14, 2026
Dwight E. Moulton, a lifelong resident of his hometown of East Charleston, Vermont, passed away on October 14, 2026, at the age of 77.
A hard-working man of remarkable dedication and commitment, Dwight embodied the spirit of a true Vermonter. He joined the Charleston Volunteer Fire Department in 1965 at the young age of 16 and proudly served his community for 61 years. He married his wife Shirley in October of 1969, with whom he would raise their three children and share a loving home for 56 years. Known for his kind and caring nature, Dwight was always the first to step up and lend a hand to family, friends, and neighbors alike.
Whether he was out around Echo Lake plowing snow during the winter months, or spending time in the garage working on cars, trucks, tractors, lawnmowers, or anything else with a motor, Dwight was a man with a steadfast work ethic who always kept busy, making sure that those in need were taken care of. He enjoyed spending time with his family, and could often be found sharing laughs around the dinner table, or in the shop imparting his wisdom on his children and grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Shirley Ann Moulton, in December of 2025.
He is survived by his loving children: Todd Moulton & Carol Piper, Cindy & Jerry Bosely, and Scott Moulton. He also leaves behind his grandchildren; Sierra & Nick, Travis & Mary, Troy, Timmy, Tyler, Tabitha, and Trent along with several great-grandchildren who will miss him dearly.
In accordance with Dwight’s personal wishes, no formal funeral service will be held.
