Obituary

William "Bill" Kenneth Sanville, 65 of Newport, VT passed away suddenly at his home on December 26, 2024.

Bill was born May 29, 1959 to Estelle (Brault) and Kenneth Sanville of Troy, VT. From a young age Bill had interest in sports, fast cars and hard work. Farming, odd jobs and playing 3rd base filled his days, leading him to open his own business Bill Sanville Garage Door & Painting Co. which he owned and operated for over 40 years.

Before leaving this world he lost many he loved including his parents Estelle and Kenneth, his Grandmother Blanche Crawford, his sister Lynn Sanville, his son by choice Shawn Smith, and his brother-in-law Frank Baraw.

Bill was a business mind with a heart of gold and the mouth of a sailor. In his free time, you could find Bill on the golf course, watching a baseball game with a drink in his hand, playing or coaching softball, baseball and basketball or soaking up the sun near a body of water. Beyond his work, he was a brother, a father, a grandfather, an uncle and a dedicated friend. He had a nickname for every single one of the people in his life. If you were a "nice boys" or being "tupid" he was sure to let you know.

He loved harder than most and always made sure people left his house with a smile and a full belly. Bill's energy filled a room, once you met him he wasn't easy to forget. His heartfelt chuckle and quirky sayings will live on in all of our hearts.

He leaves behind a large family including his son Gregory Sanville and his wife Kaylee, his loving partner Sandy Richardi, his kids by choice Eric Smith, Cendra Fisher and her fiancé Joel, Kallie Knaggs, Sierra Griffin and her husband Kyle, Naomi Morris, Elijah Morris and Trelyn Gardner. Also by those who called him Pepere: Brooke-Lyn and AshLynn Columbia, Joel Martinez, RJ and Sophia Roberge, Maddie and Alaya Griffin, and Brynley Daniels. He is also survived by his siblings Connie Sanville, Steve Sanville, Lisa Sanville, Ginny Sanville, Tina Kimball, and Sharon Sanville.

Bill loved his people deeply. He made sure any cry for help was answered, any need for a hug or a laugh was filled and he always answered his phone, no matter the time. He gave more than he took from this world and he truly lived life on his own terms.

The family wishes to mention a few very close friends that Bill loved and appreciated deeply: Ron Bushey, Greg Monty, Giant (Richard Duranleau), J-Rod (Jared Farrar), Gus Marsh, and Jim Ladue.

His presence will be missed by his friends, his work crew, his golfing buddies and all the nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends who he was always so excited to spend time with.

The family will be holding a celebration of life in the spring- more details will be released when scheduled.
