William Joseph Costin, Jr, 64, of Newport, Vermont passed away on February 20, 2023 in Newport. He was born on April 9, 1958 in Boston, Massachusetts the son of William Joseph Costin, Sr and Veronica Frances (Doherty). He married Judy McCrillis who survives him and they spent most of their married life in Stoneham, Massachusetts.
William's work ethic was never in question. He lived for the summers to travel and work at the fairs which became a family event bringing his children along. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
He enjoyed trucking for over forty years and once his kids were old enough they would join him on the travels.
He is survived by his wife Judy Costin of Derby, Vermont; by his children: Patrick William Costin and partner Gina, Angelica Costin, William P. Costin and partner Bethany, and Kari Ouellet and her husband John. He is also survived by his grandchildren: Kaitlyn, Kaylana, Jannessa, Oliver, Charlotte, Chloe and twins Rylee and Rory, by his brothers: Martin Costin and his wife Denise, and Joseph Costin. "Papa" was a title he wore with pride.
He was predeceased by his parents, Veronica and William, his brothers: Charles and Eddie, and sister Nancy Roderick, his nephews William Roderick, and grandchildren: Emma and Ava Costin.
Friends may call from 3-4 P.M. on Saturday February 25,2023 at the Curtis-Britch & Bouffard Funeral Home, 37 Lake Road, Newport. A celebration of his life will be held at a later date. Should friends desire, contributions in his memory may be made to the Therapy Department at Bel-Aire Nursing Home, 35 Bel-Aire Drive, Newport, Vermont 05855. On-line condolences at curtis-britch.com.
