Wayne Floyd Besaw, 86, of Newport, VT, passed away on July 3, 2024 in Lebanon, NH. He was born on May 23, 1938 in Irasburg, VT to the late Floyd and Idelle (Sanville) Besaw.

He took great pride in driving a school bus for North Country Union High School. He also worked at the Elk's Lodge and Walmart. In his younger years he loved to hunt. He had a great love for all his family and his dog and had a special place in his heart for his great grandson Richie Thompson. He was loved by many and will be greatly missed.

Wayne is survived by his sister Sally Kelley and her husband Donald, sister-in-law Jeannine Besaw, several stepchildren and numerous grand and great grandchildren as well as nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his wife Wanda Powers Besaw, brother Gene Besaw, sister Ruth Carter and brother-in-law Fred Carter.

A celebration of life will be held at 1 P.M. on Sunday July 21, 2024 at the Fraternal Order of Eagles Club, 56 Eagle Nest Drive, Newport. Online condolences may be made at curtis-britch.com.
