Rita M Taylor, 71, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 10, 2025 at The Union House Nursing Home in Glover, VT.   She was born in Newport on April 19,1954 to Real Limoges and Martha (Bonneau) Limoges.  She spent the first part of her life in Jay, VT and then moved to Troy, VT.

She graduated from Sacred Heart High School and attended O'Briens School of Cosmetology.

She spent most of her life working as the office manager for Taylor Made Homes, Inc.

She was an active member of the church and choir at Saint Andre Bessette Parish in Troy, VT.

Rita was an active member of the Four Seasons Garden Club and HomeDem (a local womens group).

Rita loved to play pickleball and golf and was a member of the Newport Country Club for many years.

She was an avid gardener, crafter, and an amazing cook/baker.

Rita is survived by her loving husband, Gary of 52 years, her son Jason Taylor and his wife Stacy and grandson Niko, and her daughter Julie Taylor and grandsons Briar, Mohamed, and Ferris.

She is also survived by brothers Ronald Limoges and wife Jane, Denis Limoges and wife Muguette, Claude Limoges and wife Joanne, and her sister Lise (Hackett) and husband David.

She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews.

The family would like to thank the staff at The Union House Nursing Home in Glover, VT and the Orleans Essex VNA & Hospice, Inc. in Newport, VT for their professional care when we needed it.

Memorial services are planned for the spring of 2026.
