Richard Henry Vigeant passed away on October 27, 2026, at the age of 77.

Born on January 10, 1949, Richard was the son of Henry and Anita Vigeant. He spent most of his working life as a self-employed truck driver, a career that reflected his strong work ethic, independent spirit, and love of the open road. He took pride in working hard and getting the job done. Behind the wheel, he found both a livelihood and the freedom of the road he loved.

Richard cared deeply for his family and friends and would do anything for them. His love showed through his willingness to lend a hand and be there when he was needed. Those closest to him will remember his generosity, devotion, and the comfort of knowing they could count on him.

Richard also had a wonderful sense of humor and always loved to laugh. He found joy in sharing a joke and bringing a smile to those around him. His laughter and the happy moments he shared with family and friends will remain among their most cherished memories.

Richard leaves behind his wife, Barbara; his sons, Eric and Marc, and Marc’s wife, Hong Ting; and his three grandchildren, Jackson, Zoe, and Gia. He is also survived by his brother, Michael. He was predeceased by his brothers, Gilles and Alain, and his older sister, Marie. And many other loving family and friends.

A small graveside ceremony will be held at North Troy Cemetery on Friday, October 30, 2026, at 1:00 p.m.
