Raymond Edgar Marsh

Raymond Edgar Marsh,74 of Newport Center, Vt passed away on January 3, 2022 In Island Pond, Vt where he resided with his son Christopher Marsh Sr., Barbara Corey and his grandsons Nick Hunt, Logan Hunt, Christopher Marsh Jr. and Abraham Marsh, Dustin Favreau, and his lovely dog angle of ten years.

He was born on March 21,1947 to the late Orvin Allen Marsh Sr. and Doris (Haskins) on February 24,1968 he married Shirley Baker, then he later went on to marry Linda Mason in August of 1989, who both survive him.

He is also survived by his children: Allen Marsh1st of Newport Vt, Mark Marsh Sr. and his wife Linda Marsh of West Charleston, Todd Marsh Sr. and his partner Morgan   Cleveland of Newport Vt, and Christopher Marsh Sr. and his partner Barbara Corey of Island Pond Vt, Chad Abbott and his wife Billie Jo Abbott of Brownington, Vt and Lynn Belmore of Derby Center, Vt

His many Grandchildren, Great grandchildren, nieces and nephews

Lifelong friend Joyce Jones of Derby Vt.

He was predeceased by his siblings: Merlin Cote, Merle Cote, Madeline Hitchcock, Rosaline Percy, Ilene Hoggdon, Gladys Mallet, Jerry Reynard, Louis Marsh, Orvin Marsh Jr., Gilbert Marsh and Carol-Ann Colbeth.

Raymond was a proud military man. He was proud to have served his country. He was drafted into the Army on 10/11/1966 and was discharged on 10/10/1968 after completing a tour of duty in Vietnam. He was with the first battalion 28 th infantry, first infantry division- know as the Black Lions.

He was awarded a purple heart and multiple medals for valor.

Funeral Services- Graveside services with full military honors will be at Vermont veterans Cemetery in Randolph, VT in the spring.
