Phyllis B. Kennison, 87, of Brownington, Vermont passed away unexpectedly on September 23,2023 in Newport.  She was born on November 10, 1935, in Orleans, Vermont to Charles and Josephine (Thompson) Chase.  On June 4, 1963 she married Melvin Kennison who predeceased her in 1986.  She then enjoyed the companionship of Wayne Broe until he passed in 2009.

She is survived by her children: Shelia Martin and her husband Kirk of Orleans, VT, Debra Tillotson and her husband Nelson of E. Corinth, VT, Jerry Brown of Wilder, VT, Nancy Cluff and her husband Thomas of Lowell, MA, her daughter-in-laws, Kay Kennison of Billerica, MA, and Nancy Kennison of North Carolina.  She is also survived by several grandchildren and great grandchildren, along with her brothers Larry Chase and his partner, Bev White of Brownington, VT, and Robert Chase and his wife Edie, of Coram, NY.  She also is survived by several nieces and nephews and her special cousin Betty Towle, of Gorham, Maine along with many other cousins.

She was predeceased by her brother Richard Chase, her sister Pat Herman, her sons Richard Kennison, William Kennison Thomas Kennison, and her daughter in-laws: Linda Brown and Jan Kennison.

Her hobbies included Facebook, talking on the phone, word search, playing bingo and mailing cards to family and friends.

A graveside service will be held on Monday October 2, 2023 at the Irasburg Cemetery at 11:00 A.M. with the Rev.
