Obituary

Peter James Pulver, born August 23, 1968, passed away on April 10, 2026, peacefully, surrounded by his family, leaving behind a life marked by love, dedication, and quiet strength.

Originally from East Windsor, Connecticut, Peter made his home in Newport, Vermont, where he spent most of his life building deep roots and lasting connections within the community.

Peter was a devoted husband to his beloved wife, Susan Jane Pulver, with whom he shared 26 wonderful years of marriage. Together, they created a life filled with love, partnership, and cherished memories. He was also a proud and loving father to his daughter, Chelsea Pulver, and her fiancé, Manville Powers, who were the light of his life.

Peter dedicated many years of his life to his work as a Produce Manager at Grand Union and Shaw's in Newport, Vermont. He was known for his strong work ethic, friendly nature, and the genuine care he showed to both customers and coworkers. Pete was loved and respected by so many who had the pleasure of working alongside him.

Pete will be especially remembered for his sense of humor. He was always a jokester, bringing laughter and smiles to those around him, and his lighthearted spirit will be dearly missed.

In addition to his wife and daughter, Peter is survived by his mother, Pauline Sheehan (Laramie) of The Villages, Florida; his brother, Brian Pulver and his wife Sue Pulver of Enfield, Connecticut, Nephew Tyler Pulver, and Niece Mariah Pulver. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and step-brothers.

He was predeceased by his father, Carl R. Pulver; and his stepfather, Richard Sheehan.

Peter will be remembered for his steady presence, kind heart, and the love he gave so freely to those around him. His family and friends will forever hold close the memories they shared with him.

There will be no public services at this time. A celebration of life will be planned for the near future.

He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him, he will be forever in our hearts.
