Pauline Cloutier Montague Fairbrother, 90, passed away peacefully on April 21, 2023

Pauline was born on October 2, 1932 to Romeo and Lucia Cloutier.

Pauline was a hard worker. She worked at Moore's Grocery Store and Pierce Pharmacy in Barton, VT. She then worked at the Farm-Boy Restaurant in St. Johnsbury, VT, that her brother owned. She then retired, but loved to keep busy so she cleaned houses.

She loved knitting, making her famous slippers. She also loved playing Skip-Bo and Solitaire, watching westerns, playing cards, especially poker. She loved her yellow-colored cat Muffin, and loved playing basketball in her younger years.

She loved her family very much and sacrificed a lot to give them whatever they needed. She was a very devoted mother and grandmother. Her family was her life, especially when her 5 kids all got together at the same time.

She was predeceased by her parents. Her brothers Raymond and Norman Cloutier, her sister Yvette Carter and her great granddaughter KayLynne Matten.

Pauline is survived by her children, Linda Kirk, Stephen Montague, Peggy Guertin, Brenda Perron, David Montague. She is also survived by her brother Richard Cloutier and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
