Obituary

It is with great sadness and broken hearts the family of Maryanne Norine Royer, of Derby Line announce she has entered her eternal home in Heaven with God, on March 27, 2026, in Newport, with family by her side, after losing her short battle with cancer. She was born on October 8, 1962 in Mill River, Massachusetts to Norine and Burton Royer, who both predecease her.  Maryanne was a daughter, a Mom, a Nana, a sister, an aunt, and a friend to many. She moved to Vermont as a young child where she lived the remainder of her life. Her life was short here on earth but she impacted many.  She will be greatly missed by those who loved her. There will be a great emptiness in their heart. Her little family was her world.  She leaves behind a son Sean Horner and partner Amanda Tinker of Holland, and two grandchildren Nate and Mckenzie Horner of Newport. She also was fond of Sean and Amanda's dog, Lily May.  She leaves behind a brother Ken Royer (Claire) of North Carolina, a sister Bev Hall of Irasburg, sister Theresa Perrault (Bruno) of Newport Center and sister-in-law Heidi Royer of Hyde Park. Plus, many nieces and nephews. Maryanne was predeceased by brothers Jared Whitcomb, Lawrence B. Royer, and James L. Royer. Plus, sister Sandra Poutre.  The family would like to thank the North Country Hospital staff and the Newport Ambulance Service for their kindness given to Maryanne during this time. Also, a special thank you to Dr. Megan Batchelder for the care she has given Maryanne over the years as her doctor and during this time of need. As per Maryanne's wishes there will be no calling hours or funeral.  Thank you to Curtis- Britch and Bouffard Funeral home, 37 Lake Road, Newport VT 05855.
