Marcel "Joe" Poulin Jr, 74 of Newport, VT. Passed away on Wednesday August 3, 2022 at Bel Aire Nursing home. He was born in Newport, VT on October 14 th, 1947 to Marcel Sr & Jeannine (Williams) Poulin. He married Henriette Tanguay on November 6 th , 1976.
Joe was employee by Poulin Grain for over 30 year before retiring in 2014.
Joe was a member of Elks Lodge #2155 and was an active member of Newport fire Department for over 40 years until his stroke debilitated him. Joe was always volunteering his time helping at the Elks or other organizations that would ask for his help. Joe upon retiring always keep himself busy by joining the bowling league, driving truck for those who needed help and or helping where he was needed.
Joe is survived by his children: Carl and Amy Michael (Rodney), grand-children – Teesha Nooth, Christian & Destiney Poulin, Vivian & Joseph Michael. Great grandchildren – Tristian Willis, Tia Judd & Paityn Bagley. Joe is survived by his siblings France Dewing (Red), Lucille Longley (Paul), Suzanne Lucas (Michael), Dennis Poulin (partner Beverly), Joanne Rousseau & Tina Brown. Joe is also survived by several brother in laws, sister in laws, many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Joe was proceeded by his parents Marcel Sr, Jeannine and sister in law Lynn Sanville Poulin.
The family would like to thank Bel Aire nursing home for the care he has been give over the past 6 year and especially for keeping him comfortable over the past couple of week and up to the end. We know that many of his girlfriends will miss him as he was loved by everyone there.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday August 9 th at St Mary Church in Newport at 10am. Friends may call Monday August 8 th from 6 to 8pm at Curtis – Britch & Bouffard Funeral home, 4670 Darling Hill Road, Newport. On-line condolences at curtis-britch.com.
