Lorraine Marilyn Sargent, 94, of Newport Center, VT passed away on September 13, 2025 in Newport, VT. She was born on October 16, 1930 in Nashua, NH to the late Nellie Lucier.

Lorraine worked as a secretary for C S Emory Company for many years. In her earlier years she enjoyed swimming, snowmobiling, camping, boating, travelling, especially to Florida and Tennessee, going to dances, coloring in adult coloring books and watching westerns. She was the past president of the Senior Center and a member of the Forever Young Club for many years.

She is survived by her children Craig and Kathy Lantagne of Newport, VT, Erwin Sargent Jr. and his wife Lynn of Georgia and Barbara Prue of Newport Center, VT, grandchildren Derek and Krista Poquette of Burlington, VT, Justin and Kara Hayes of Jericho, VT, Mark and Karen Lantagne of Derby, VT, Andrew and Alexis Prue of South Carolina, Shane Prue of Newport Center, VT, Katy and Andrew Achord of Maryland, Stephanie Sargent Velez of Colombia, Felicia Sargent of Georgia, Great grandchildren India, Aleia, Krista, Kara, Mark, Riley, Noah, Joel, Kaleigh, Eli, Adrian, Hudson, Holden and Alejandro. She is also survived by her close friend Joyce Hilson who would visit with her on a weekly basis.

She was predeceased by her mother, husband Erwin Sargent Sr, brother Donald Lucier and son-in-law David Prue.
