Laurette Fontaine, 78, of Barton, Vermont passed away on August 16, 2024 in Newport, Vermont. She was born on February 23, 1946 in Barton to Camile and Edna (Collett) LaMadeleine.  She married Lionel Fontaine who predeceased her.

Laurette enjoyed crocheting, making peanut butter fudge, decorating for the holidays and especially being a Memere to all her grandchildren.

She is survived by her daughters: Kimberly Blanchard and her husband Ricky, Monica Menard and her husband Tony, and Lisa Haley.  She is also survived by her daughters-in-law: Reene Fontaine and Tammi Hodgdon and by her special friend Elaine LaMadeleine, by her grandchildren: Samantha Fortin, Michael Fontaine, Billy Hansen, Fawn Coderre, Brianna Stuart, Mark Fontaine, Anthony Menard, Alex Menard, Tyler Blanchard, Abigail Blanchard and Isabelle Blanchard and many great grandchildren. She is survived by her sister Helen Fontaine.

She was predeceased by her parents, by her brothers: Ronald, Andy, Leo, Ed, Denis Gerard, by her sisters: Florence, Rachel and Alice, by her sons: Mark and Michael Fontaine.
