John B. Fraleigh, 95, of Morgan, VT passed away on February 6, 2026 at his home on Seymour Lake. He was born on December 18, 1930 in Burlington, VT to the late Percy and Lucy (Blackmon) Fraleigh. On December 13, 1958 he married Eleanor Grace Sharpe who predeceased him.

John graduated from Burlington High School before attending both University of Vermont and Princeton University with a master's degree in Mathematics. He went on to become a Professor of Mathematics at the University of Rhode Island. He also served as organist and choir director for many years at several churches in Rhode Island, including The First Baptist Church in America.

He is survived by his children; Joan, Susan, and Robert, grandchildren Cassandra, Lyndsey, Amanda, Alyssa, Wayne Jr., Mackenzie, Abigail, Samantha, Catherine, Rebecca, Jonathan, and Austin, great grandchildren Ashley, Eve, Madeline, Aliea, Anna, and Violet and great-great granddaughter Theadora Lyn.

He was also predeceased by his daughter Janet and his sister Lynn.
