Jody Lynn Barry 04/04/1963-05/13/2026

Jody Lynn Barry passed away peacefully Wednesday evening, May 13th, 2026. She was preceded by her grandparents and mother Patricia Barry. She is survived by her father Wendell Barry, her brother John Barry, and nieces and nephews.

Jody was an active member of the Nursery Ministry at Newport Baptist Church. Every time she saw a baby her face lit up and she just had to hold it. She had a sweet, childlike spirit and a joy that was contagious. She enjoyed puzzles, crafts, and people. She participated in the US Special Olympics for floor hockey. She was her mother's shadow and joined her on many adventures. She joined her in gardening, shopping, and garage sales. She will be deeply missed.

Her celebration of life will be held on Friday June 5th, 2026 at the Newport Center Cemetery at 11:00 A.M.  by her beloved Pastor Dave Lisner.
