Jean G. Petit, 86, of Newport Center, Vermont passed away on June 27, 2024 in Vancouver, Washington.  She was born on September 27, 1937 in Troy, Vermont to Herbert and Pansy (Gibson) Bickford.

On May 15, 1960 she married Gordon E. Petit who predeceased her on June 5, 2023.  Jean's hobbies included sewing, embroidering, and also fishing and hunting with her family.

She is survived by her daughter Pamela Fryberger and her husband Dennis of Yacott, Washington, and by a granddaughter: Denise Fryberger and multiple nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her daughter Tamara Petit on March 7, 2024, by her grandson Steven Fryberger, and her siblings: Gardner, Allie, Elton, Tom, Billy, Mary and Martha.

Funeral services for both Jean and Tamara will be held on Saturday August 31, 2024 at the Jehovah Witness Kingdom Hall on Citizen's Road in Newport at 2:00 P.M. followed by interment service at 3:00 P.M. at Newport Center Cemetery.
