James M. Alexander, Sr. Mar 11, 1940 - Feb 21, 2024.
He was the greatest husband, father, brother and Papa. He was born in Barre, Vt. Jim was a U.S. Marine Corp Veteran. Jim married the love of his life, Linda, in 1964. He and Linda, with their family, camped in Island Pond since the late 1960's. He worked at both Vt Tap & Die and Northeast Tool in Lyndonville. He enjoyed watching the Boston Red Sox, NASCAR racing(following Dale Earnhardt, Sr) and horseshoes. Jim and his best friend, Dick Gammell, were instrumental in the creation of the Tom Breslin Community Center. Since 2007, Jim was an active member of the American Legion Post 23 in Orlean, Vt.
He was predeceased by his wife, Linda Lee(Amadon) Alexander; his parents, Wendell and Madeline(Bessette) Alexander, his brother Robert( Bobby) Alexander and his son, Michael E. Alexander.
He is survived by his children, Wendy Alexander and her children Eric, Justin and Makaylla; Donna Gibson; James Alexander, Jr(Carla) and his son Josh; Michele Bonin(Marcel) and her children Ryan, Schyler and Nicholas. Also surviving Jim is his sister Barbara Leclair and her children ; and brother Donald Alexander. He had many special nieces and nephews as well as special friends and family. A private burial will take place at a later date.
There will be a Celebration of Life for Jim at the Peakview Strawberry Farm, 3602 Hinman Settler Road, Brownington on July 27, 2024 from 1pm-4pm, with full military honors be held at 2:00 P.M.
