Jack Rogers born in the Bronx on August 14, 1944 was a beloved Teacher, Artist and Poet who passed away after a long battle with Parkinson's disease on February 23, 2025
He leaves behind his loving partner of twenty years; Terri Mosley, two daughters; Dawn Rogers and Sienna Lynn Rogers. His Grandchildren; Shaun Rogers and John Massropian JR, his two step children Melissa Mosley and Sean Mosley.
Special Friends; Tom Farrow (who predeceased him), Mike and Sarah; old friends from the park and Dianne Peale.
After completing high school, Jack enlisted in the United States Army and was stationed in Germany. Following an honorable discharge, he pursued a higher education at UCLA and graduated from Johnson State with a degree in Liberal Arts.
As an enthusiastic educator, Jack taught art in numerous local schools, inspiring students and colleagues alike with their creativity and passion for the arts.
His interests led him to the VT Center for Independent Living, where he was inspired by helping others. This is where Jack met the love of his life, Terri… It was over a simple cup of coffee that he fell for her—and her for him. A love brewed strong and deep.
His legacy continues through the many individuals he has influenced through his teaching, artistry and activism. You may remember Jack from Earth People's Park, The Rainbow Gathering and the homestead he built with his own hands up on his land on Buck Hill in Westfield VT.
Jack and Terri with-longtime friends like Tom and Dianne could be seen in front of the Hebard State building with people of like minds advocating for human rights.
Jack and Terri enjoyed their summer camp in the woods of Glover that Jack constructed, hosting many gatherings.
Jack's journey continues into our memories, we carry forward his teachings, inspired by his life to nurture love, find beauty in simplicity, and connect deeply with one another.
John 6:51 "Whoever eats this bread will live forever. This bread is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world."
Jack believed this verse and wanted everyone to know "Your Words Matter".
