On 6/13/2026 at 2:02pm Helen J Robillard, loving wife of Denis Robillard of 57 years went to meet the lord and savior Jesus Christ as a result of a battle with Dementia.
Born in Carluke Scotland, daughter of a World War 2 Canadian Veteran on July 8th 1944. Daughter of George and Susan Mitchell Thayer. Educated in Fitch Bay Quebec Canada at Magog High School Graduated in Newport High School Class of 1962.
Went to Cosmetology school in Scotland and Barre Vermont. Took to Hairdressing until her family had a greater need for her at home making.To show an example of her devotion when her children were 4 and 10 Helen hada chance to go back to Scotland with her two sisters for 3 weeks. So she cooked up 3 weeks of food for the family and put it in the freezer.
She later did hair dressing at Bel-Aire until a shoulder injury occurred resulting in a shoulder operation.
Later on she took to cooking at Michaud Manor and later at The Meeting Place until her health took a slight decline.
Helen and Denis had two girls Leslie Bonnell (John R Bonnell IV) and Susan Schulte (Dallas Schulte), Grandchildren John R Bonnell V (Kirstein), Briana Bonnell, Christopher, Tyler and Kyle Vails, Great Grandchildren John R Bonnell VI and Quynn Bonnell.
Helen was predeceased by her parents and sister Heather Myers and Brother Charles Thayer, in laws Yvonne Couture Robillard and husband Hilare, Leo and Mercedes Patenaude, Real and Dorthy McFarlane Robillard and second wife Marie Robillard Price, Malcolm Boright, Vincent Amyot, Roger Roy and Leo Robillard.
Helen is survived by husband Dennis, sister Kathy Thayer Hardy, sisters-in laws Raymond Amyot, Roy, Louise and Earnest Choquette and Armande Boright. Brother-in-law Guy and Helen Couture Robillard.
Funeral services will be July 25th 11am at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Newport, VT.
