Obituary

Heather Deida (Scott) was born in Meriden, Connecticut, on May 12th, 1977. She became a big sister to Eric Scott on September 8th, 1978, and adored her baby brother. Her family moved to West Charleston, Vermont, in 1989. It was there that she met and fell in love with the "stud" neighbor boy, Carmelo Deida. They married on August 31st, 1996, and welcomed their first child, Jesse, on June 25th, 1998. Heather was a caring, kindhearted person who loved every child she met. She took great pride in her niece, Brittany, and nephews, Eric and Devon, caring for them as if they were her own. She provided a haven for anyone in need of love and gained an extra son, Kyler, along the way. Heather enjoyed working in daycares and loved her time at the Landing in Newport, but she found her greatest joy in being a homemaker, which allowed her to shower her family with love. She and Carmelo joyfully welcomed their daughter Abbey on November 23rd, 2011, and son Ty on October 7th, 2013. These two children were an unexpected blessing that brought Heather immense happiness and completed their family.
Heather was a firecracker—full of life and love. If you wanted an honest opinion, that's where you'd find it. She loved music, good food, and spending time with her family. Watching her children pursue their interests brought her great joy and excitement. She also enjoyed watching crime shows, often getting a little too invested in any crime documentary she could find. Her free spirit and kind heart will be forever missed.
She joins her grandparents Lloyd and Velma Kimball, George and Laura Scott; her dad George Scott; her mother-in-law Debbie Norman; her uncles Brian and Earl Scott; her great-nephew Maddox Murray; and her best friend Jason.
She is survived by her husband Carmelo Deida, her mother Susan Scott, and her brother Eric Scott. By her children Jesse, Abbey, and Ty Deida. Her "bonus" children Chantelle Hamel, Brittany and Eric Scott, Devon Chagnon, and Kyler Baker. Great nieces Caidance, Azlyn, and Margo and great nephews Carson, Alex, Declan and Kenai. By her Uncle Rick Kimball, cousins Tiffaney and boyfriend Mike and Stephanie and her son Quincy. As well as many many other close friends and relatives.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers or donations, spread her kindness—smile at a stranger, lend a hand to someone in need, ask someone how their day was, or be a listening ear.
