Gerald O. Bilodeau, of Waterbury, CT. passed away peacefully at home on April, 01, 2026. Born on May 18, 1940, in Lambton, Québec, Canada, he was the son of Ovid Bilodeau and Rose Aimee Roy. Gerald moved to Waterbury, CT, at the age of 21, where he worked as a taper/sheet rocker, and built a life grounded in hard work, dedication, and love for his family. He is survived by his children, Steven Bilodeau (status unknown), Karen Bilodeau-Hamblett and Tracy Bilodeau-Kaced. His son Jerry Bilodeau predeceased him on June 12, 2025. Gerald cherished his grandchildren and great grand children; Kamil and Liam Kaced, Zackery and Ashton Hamblett, Charlotte Allen-Bilodeau, and his great granddaughter Ophelia Hamblett. He also leaves behind his sons-in-law Mehdi Kaced and Chris Hamblett, who were beloved members of his family circle. A proud French Canadian, Gerald will be remembered for his strong work ethics, quiet strength, and devotion to family. Services will be private, with cremation handled by a local provider. In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes donations to a charity of their choice in honor of Gerald's memory.
