George A Wilcox, 94 of Island Pond, Vermont passed away suddenly on November 4, 2022, in Island Pond. He was born on November 16, 1927, in Connecticut to George G Wilcox and Leona (Bachand) Wilcox. He was married to the former Patricia Avery, who survived him.

He was a Navy veteran who served in WWII and was part of Operation HighJump.

George was an alumni of Brown University where he was a founding member of the a cappella group The Jabberwocks. He was introduced to Island Pond by his wife, Patricia, and loved it so much that he never left. He was a part of the Lakeshore Association, enjoyed cross-country skiing, and spent his summers by the beach and on his sailboat.

He is survived by his wife Patricia Wilcox, of Island Pond Vermont, and by his children: Kevin Wilcox and his wife Angel, and Chris Wilcox and his wife Amy. He is also survived by his daughter-in-law Michelle Wilcox, and grandkids Heather, James, Erika, Alex, Ben, Jen, Aidan, Liam, Kim, and Haley. He was predeceased by his parents, George and Leona Wilcox, his siblings Richard and Nancy, and his two sons Greg and Nate.

George will be deeply missed and forever remembered. There will be a celebration of life later this summer in Vermont.
