Obituary

George Michael Geoffroy, 73, of Lyndonville, Vermont, passed into Eternal Life on December 16, 2024. Born on June 5, 1951, he was the son of the late Armand and Rita (Yargeau) Geoffroy. George was predeceased by his sisters Marianne (Geoffroy) Nicoli and Suzanne (Geoffroy) Holdsworth. He is lovingly remembered by his son Eric and daughter-in-law Natasha, along with his cherished grandsons Armand and Luc of Sarasota, Florida. He also leaves behind his sister Dolores Geoffroy of Dunedin, Florida, and his brother Donald Geoffroy of Southwick, Massachusetts.

George grew up in Chicopee, Massachusetts, and spent his later years dividing his time between Vermont in the summers and Florida in the winters. A skilled craftsman, George dedicated his life to drywall finishing and was widely regarded as one of the best in the trade. Known for his daring work style-often seen balancing on stilts atop scaffolding-he brought artistry and precision to every project.

An avid outdoorsman and social spirit, George found joy in hunting, fishing, golfing, and sharing laughter with friends. His zest for life was infectious; he traveled freely, embraced humor at every turn, and never hesitated to lend a helping hand. Those who knew him will remember him as a larger-than-life personality who left an indelible mark on everyone he met.

George did not live an average life he was always on the move. Everyone loved him, he was a people person who made a lasting impression on everyone he met. He traveled where he wanted to travel, laughed at every chance, and was always willing to help a friend out. He will be deeply missed by all.

He was never one for sentiment, but he wanted you to know that if he owes you a beer, and if you can find him in Heaven, he will gladly allow you to buy him another.

True to his unique sense of humor, George wished for no formal viewing but joked about being displayed with a Twisted Tea in hand-a request his family lovingly declined. Cremation will take place at the family's convenience, and his ashes will be kept around as long as they match the décor. In honor of George's memory, please celebrate in your own way and know that his vibrant spirit lives on.
