Obituary

Faith "Faye" Perkins December 23, 1949 – April 14, 2022 Faith M. Perkins, passed away at her home in Westmore, Vermont on April 14th with her loving family and animals at her side. Faye was born to Homer and Avis Curtis in Irasburg, VT on Dec. 23rd, 1949. She was predeceased by her parents: Homer and Avis Curtis, brothers: Don, Nelson, and Bill Curtis. Survived by her sister: Rosemary Rowe, husband Bill Perkins, children: Shannon LaLiberty (and spouse Beb) and Shane W. Shaw (and spouse Shannon), grand children: Tyler and Thea Pion, and great granddaughter: Tiegen Pion. Over the years Faye affectionately became "Grandma" or "Greatie" to many young people. Most recently to: Sam Perkins, Reagan Charlier, Peyton Fortin, and Kailyn Fortin. She had a vast amount of friends and family all over the country that she would contact daily to check in with them and to see if they were okay. Faye and Bill where married in Westmore, VT on August 11th, 1984 and had enjoyed 37 wonderful years together. When they married, Faye said to Bill that she has been to a piece of land that she would like buy and build a house on. When she showed the land to Bill, he was very familiar with because his grandfather kept heifers on it during the summers. They ended up purchasing the land and building a house that overlooked Willoughby Lake. Faye loved to watch the animals that roamed on the pastures around the house. Her favorite time was in the spring when all the new babies would come out. Everyday she would write a list of how many fawns, turkey-chicks, ducklings, bear cubs, and fox pups she had seen that day. She always had her camera ready and enjoyed showing her many photographs of her "babies" to everyone. Faye held various office positions while she was employed at Ethan Allen, Bogner of America, American Maple, RJ's, and Spates. Also, Faye was an integral part of the family business, Vermont Beef Jerky, where she executed payroll for the last 35 years. Throughout her life, Faye enjoyed her animals, pets, puzzles, gardens, cleaning, riding horses, riding on the Harley, going out with extended family and friends, and learning about history and natural sciences – as long as no animals where harmed! There will be no calling hours, but a memorial service will be held at the family's convenience. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Pope Memorial Frontier Animal Society at 4473 Barton Orleans Rd. Orleans, VT 05860. Phone number: 802-754-2228. On-line condolences at curtis-britch.com.
