Obituary

Eugene Erwin Dickson, age 83, of Albany, Vermont, passed away on April 9th at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center. He was surrounded by his daughters and granddaughter, Nicole.

Eugene lived a long life marked by hard work, strong values, and a deep connection to his family. Over the years, he held several jobs, including work at Pelletier Lumber, Goodridge Lumber, West Wood Fences, and Stowe Canoe, and he served as the Town of Albany constable. He was known as a dedicated worker who took pride in everything he did.

Eugene had many hobbies throughout his life. In his younger days, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and four-wheeling. He had a natural talent for fixing things, always able to figure out how to make something work again. He also enjoyed tinkering on projects, spending time with his family, listening to older country music, and watching westerns, which brought him comfort in his later years.

He will be remembered as a man who was stubborn, funny, and deeply caring. Eugene spoke his mind and was never afraid to say what he thought, a trait that made him both memorable and loved by those who knew him best.

He is survived by his daughters, Dolida Kennison, Marena, and husband, Ken Mead; Della and husband, Ricky Hall; and Sabrena and husband, Bill Ducharme. He also leaves behind his beloved grandchildren: Jason, Jolene, and Etta; Roxanne and Kyle; Danielle, Gene, and Daphne; Timothy, Joshua, Troy, and Nicole; as well as several great-grandchildren.

Eugene is predeceased by his father, John Dickson; his mother, Della Dezan; his brothers, Wallace, Mike, and Roger; his sisters, Lillian, Lulabell, and Gertrude; and his youngest daughter, Marilyn.

Eugene's legacy lives on through his family and the many memories they shared with him. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him.

Eugene is now reunited with his wife, Marilyn, and their dog, Missy.

The family invites you to join them for services and a celebration of life for Eugene and his youngest daughter, Marilyn.
