Eric Fillmore, of Derby, VT, died tragically in a motorcycle accident on Sunday, July 3, 2022, at the age of 36.

Eric was a loving husband and proud father. He loved spending time with his family and making memories. Eric was outgoing and loved to make new friends wherever he went. He sought out opportunities to help others and would drop everything to help a friend in need. He had a wide range of hobbies and interests including riding his motorcycle, fishing, boating, hunting, camping, and many more. Eric was a combat veteran and served in the Vermont Army National Guard for 12 years, including his tour in Afghanistan. He was a proud member of the Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association and the VFW.

Eric is survived by his wife of 16 years, Karen; children: Bethany, Abby, Emma, and Phoenix; mother, June (Farnham); brother, Donald; sisters: Darcey, Rebecca, and Jessica; father- and mother-in-law Marc and Pauline Aube; brother-in-law Timothy (Brittany) Aube; sister-in-law Sarah (Nicolos) Montgomery; five nephews; seven nieces; one great-nephew; and countless other family and friends. He was predeceased by his father, Allen Fillmore.

Services will be held on Sunday, July 10, at 11:00 am at the Derby Cemetery on Nelson Hill.  Following the grave side service will be a celebration of life at the Derby Beach House on Lake Salem.
