Obituary

Elmer (Lindy) Lindbergh Huseman,93, beloved husband to Candace (Candy) Jensen Huseman who were married on December 31, 1985 in Jim Thorpe, Pennsylvania passed away at his home in Derby, Vermont on December 4,2021.

He was born on February 4, 1928 in Bridgeport, Pennsylvania to Elmer Elias Huseman and Erma Mae Reiner Huseman.

Lindy is survived by his beloved wife Candace Huseman, two daughters: Linda D. Huseman and Cynthia D. Huseman of White Haven, Pennsylvania, by a dear friend Barbara Powell Collins and daughters Amanda Collins and Courtney Collins of Fairfax, Vermont.

Lindy served 30 years in the United States Navy and retired with the rank of Chief Petty Officer.  He worked for 32 and a half years in civil service as tool, dye, and gauge marker at Picatinney Arsenal in New Jersey and Tobyahanna Army Depot in Pennsylvania.

Lindy served as Commander of the VFW Post 798 in Newport, Vermont.  He was Past Master of Masonic Union Lodge # 16 in Troy, Vermont and he also served as Past Patron for North Star Chapter # 25 Order of the Eastern Star in Island Pond, Vermont.

He held membership in the American Legion Jay Peak Post # 28 in North Troy, Vermont.

Lindy and his wife enjoyed traveling and spent many years traveling throughout the United States in their motorhome.  Lindy was an avid hunter, and fisherman, he also enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, jigsaw puzzles and playing cards with friends.

He was predeceased by his brother Dwight A. Huseman, Gettysburg, Pennsyvania.

Burial after cremation, will be at the Vermont Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Randolph Center, Vermont at a later date. On-line condolences at curtis-britch.com.
