Dorine Gilding, 90 of Derby, passed from this life into eternal life on December 1st, 2025. Dorine was born on April 16, 1935, in St. Johnsbury, VT, the daughter of Oliver and Dorilda Cote.

In early adulthood, Dorine was a proud girl scout leader and cheerleading coach for Sacred heart high school. She was a beloved homemaker and mother to her three children Mark, Michael and Dianne.

Dorine was competitive in nature and loved attending her grandchildren's sporting events, always cheering them on from the sidelines. The perfect Saturday night for Dorine was playing cards with her husband Bill, special friends Francis, Shirley, John, Linda, Janet and Roger and watching hockey and basketball on tv.

Her Shih Tzu's, Sophie and Sandy, were Dorine's pride and joy. Both her and Bill took them traveling to and from Florida where they would often travel every year to escape the harsh Vermont winters and spend time with special friends and family.

Dorine's lifelong love was her Husband Bill. They recently celebrated their 71st wedding anniversary together. Even after 71 years, their love never faltered. They were both a true testament of unwavering commitment and love towards each other.

Dorine's spirit and personality were unlike any other. She was passionate about her family and loved life. She had an incredible sense of humor and loved joking and laughing. She will be missed dearly.

She is survived by her husband Bill, brother Delbert and wife Marge and sister in law Joan. Grandchildren Jenah, Amber, Ryan, Haylee, Krystal, Preslee, Billy, Taylor, Evan, Ava and Ty. Great grandchildren Chad, Alexzandra, Evan, Mya, Hayden, Harper, Boone and Rivie. Great-great grandchildren Jaxson, Skylynn and Wrenlee. She was predeceased by her parents Oliver and Dorilda, and siblings Donald, Dennis and Doris.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, December 11th at 11:00 am at St. Edwards church in Derby Line. Friends and Family are welcome to gather at the eastside Restaurant after the service in remembrance of Dorine and the wonderful life she lived.
