Daniel G. Hedges, 75 of Island Pond, VT passed away on April 13, 2026 in Newport, VT. He was born on January 14, 1951 in Natick, MA to the late Joseph and Virginia (Ralph) Hedges. On June 4, 1983 he married Karen Smith who survives him.

Daniel was drafted into the United States Army in 1971 and served during the Vietnam war before being honorably discharged with the rank of SP4 in 1974. He enjoyed working on cars with friends, being partial owner and helping operate an automotive repair business with his son Brett and was an avid hunter.

He is also survived by his 5 sons Daniel Hedges Jr., Joseph Hedges, Brett Hedges, Robert Brooks and Michael Brooks, grandchildren Matthew, Alana, Lua and Axel Hedges, Ty, Carter and Melina Brooks. He is also survived by his sister Julia Lyn O'Neill as well as many other family and friends.
