Obituary

Brenda Lea Robert, 67, of Derby, VT passed away on April 26, 2024 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born on July 19, 1956 in Newport, VT to Clair and Charlotte (Cole) Dane. On June 28, 1975 she married Michael Robert who predeceased her on March 12, 2009.

Brenda was a graduate of North Country Union High School, class of 1974. During her lifetime she worked as a bookkeeper for various companies in the area. Her hobbies included vacationing, going on cruises, going to casinos, camping at Char Bo Campground and she always liked to have fun. She was also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post 21 in Newport and Fraternal Order of Eagles #4329 in Newport.

She is survived by her parents Clair and Charlotte Dane of Morgan, VT, children Amanda George and her partner Ryan Jacobs of Derby, Matthew Robert and his wife Bridget of Derby, grandchildren Coral and Skylar Robert, Ava and Ty George and Harper Jacobs, brother Brian Dane and his wife Cyndi of West Charleston, VT, brother-in-law Steve Robert and his wife Denise of Newport, VT, sisters-in-law Linda Stone  and her husband Rodney of Irasburg, Carol Robert of Lebanon, NH, nieces and nephews Hope and Kevin Corriveau, Troy and Nikki Dane, Melissa, Michelle and Chantel Robert, Jesse Macfarlane, Molly Stone, as well as Brenda's companion Nick Straetz.

She was also predeceased by her father and mother-in-law Roland and Andrea Robert.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday June 1, 2024 at Derby Center Cemetery with Wes Lavigne officiating.  A luncheon will be held at the East Side Restaurant following the service. If friends desire, memorial contributions may be made to the Mary Wright Halo Foundation, 1073 Upper Quarry Road, Newport, VT 05855. Online condolences may be made at curtis-britch.com.
