Bonnie G. Turgeon

May 20, 1949 - May 1, 2024

Bonnie G. Turgeon, 74 of Newport, Vermont passed away on May 1st 2024 at home with her daughter and daughter-in-law by her side. She was born on May 20th 1949 in Tampa, Florida to Ernest B. Glenn and Marjory O. (Brow) Glenn. On August 15, 1981 she married Roger M. Turgeon.

Bonnie was best known for being a kind and strong woman. She spent close to 20 years as a deputy sheriff for Orleans County and then another 20 years working at North Country Hospital. Both of which she enjoyed immensely!

Bonnie is survived by her daughter Heather R. (Gordon) Lyon and husband Miquel of Sierra Vista, AZ. Along with her step-children David Turgeon and his wife Tracy of Newport, VT, Janet Black of Colorado and James Turgeon and special friend Angel Morrissette of Troy, VT. Grandchildren include Kevin and Katherine Lavallee of Arizona and her step grandchildren are Mark Turgeon, Keelan LaRock, Ashley Smart, Aaron Turgeon, Tanner and Trevor Turgeon. Great grandchildren include River and Lennox Lavallee.

Bonnie also leaves behind many other family and friends both near and far who will miss her dearly!

She was predeceased by her husband Roger M. Turgeon, her brother Robert L. Glenn and possibly her other brother Gregory A. Glenn (unknown) and her son James (Eddie) Gordon.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory can be made to the American Cancer Society.
