Betty J. Cook, 93, longtime resident of Irasburg, VT passed away on January 7, 2025 in Barton, VT. She was born on August 20, 1931 in Newport, VT to the late Earl and Ester (Adams) Blevins. On September 3, 1950 she married Byron Cook who predeceased her on April 12, 2012.

Betty would help Byron with running the farm and sugaring. She enjoyed knitting and crocheting, playing cards and just being around people, especially her grand and great grandchildren. Throughout her life Betty opened up her home to numerous foster children in the area. She was a long-time member of the Irasburg United Church.

She is survived by her children Charlie Cook and his wife Gail of Irasburg, VT and Sally Berry and her husband Kevin also of Irasburg, VT, 7 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

She was also predeceased by her son Roland and her brother Raymond Blevin.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Friday January 17, 2025 at the Irasburg United Church with the Rev. Susan Lynn Johns officiating. Spring interment in Irasburg Cemetery.
