Betty Louise Calloway, 87 of Newport, VT. peacefully died at home in her sleep on July 16th, 2023.

Betty is survived by her children; Darlene Calloway, Roger Calloway and partner Lori Hastings, Dwayne Calloway, Debbie Perry, and Donna Malshuk and partner Daniel Goodsell, Grandchildren; Tonya Calloway and Fiancé Travis Hinton, Jacob Calloway, Dakota Calloway, Dwayne Calloway Jr. and wife Jesse Calloway, Scott Perry and wife Amanda Perry, Amber Perry, Travis Calloway and wife Michelle Calloway, Desiree Cote and husband Dakota Cote, Mykayla Malshuk and partner Michael Moore, and BreAnn Libbey, Great Grandchildren; Jayden Perry, Lacy Perry, Harlee Perry, Mason Calloway, Mackenzie Calloway, Gracie Calloway, Ava Calloway, and Lilly Kyle, and her dog "babygirl" Dixie.

Betty is predeceased by her husband Roger Calloway.

Betty was born in Bakersfield, VT June 5th, 1936 to Helen Hardy. Betty was employed at NECKA for many years. Betty then went to Newport Plastics where she worked for 30 years until they closed their doors. Betty finished her working career at the age of 77 at MSA in Newport, VT.

Betty met her one and only love, Roger Calloway at 18. The two moved to Connecticut, but moved back to Vermont in 1968 to raise their family of 5 children.

Betty was the life of the party who enjoyed Saturday night car racing with family, watching wrestling, and going out dancing, listening to her favorite band, NDY. Betty loved the lead singer, David Warren, and the rest of the band became very fond of her. She loved going on adventures, especially if it involved food and ice cream. She was a spitfire and everywhere she went, strangers fell in love with her and struck up a conversation with her. She will be missed by family, friends, and anyone else who had the privilege to meet her.
