Obituary

Alice R Coderre

Alice R. (Peters) Coderre of Newport VT, born June 11, 1940, passed away on May 24, 2026 in Lancaster NH at Country Village Center.  Alice was the daughter of Roy Peters and Betty (Shatney) Blanchard. On March 26, 1960, she married the love of her life, Gaetan Coderre, with whom she shared many devoted years until his passing in 2006.

It is with deep love and sadness that we announce the passing of a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose life was centered entirely around her family. She dedicated every part of herself to the happiness, comfort, and well-being of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, who were truly the greatest joys of her life.

She was the heart of her family — always offering unconditional love, guidance, strength, and support. Her home was a place of warmth, laughter, comfort, and togetherness. Whether through a caring phone call, a home-cooked meal, words of encouragement, or simply being present when someone needed her, she made every family member feel deeply loved and important.

She always made sure her children had exactly what they wanted and needed. If she made lasagna, she would prepare three different ones — one for the family with meat from the farm, a small one for Trina because she refused to eat the farm meat, and another small one for Ed because he didn't eat meat at all. She knew Tealla didn't like mashed potatoes, so before mashing them she would always set aside a few boiled potatoes just for her. She made sure Sherm and Trina always had custard, and that Tealla had her peach pie. She would even separate the eggs for Ed and fry only the yolks because the egg whites made him gag.

These are only a few examples of the thoughtful little things she did every day. She was the most accommodating, loving mother anyone could ask for, and she made each of us feel incredibly special.

Her greatest accomplishments were not measured in titles or achievements, but in the family she nurtured and the countless memories she created. She found happiness in the milestones and everyday moments shared with those she loved most. Her kindness, selflessness, and unwavering devotion will continue to live on through the generations she helped shape.

She leaves behind a family who adored her and will forever cherish the love, lessons, and traditions she passed down. Though her presence will be profoundly missed, the bond she created within her family will remain unbreakable.

Alice was predeceased by her parents, Roy Peters and Betty Blanchard; her beloved husband, Gaetan Coderre; her daughter, Tina Hall, in 2013; her brothers, Bernard and Bradley; her sister, Shirley; her daughter-in-law, Shirley; and her great-granddaughter, Aubrey.

She is lovingly survived by her children: Sherman Coderre and his wife, Michelle; Ed Coderre; Tealla Rodrigue and her husband, Roger; and Trina LaBounty and her husband, Doug. She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren: Kyle; Tom and his girlfriend, Brittany, lovingly known as "Grammy's Little Angel"; Heather and her boyfriend, A.J.; Traci; Tasha and her boyfriend, Noah; Gaetan; Chloe and her husband, Brandon; Sophie and her husband, Matthew; Ridge; and Ethan and his fiancée, Tia.

Alice was also blessed with great-grandchildren whom she adored: Javein, Oliver, Corey, Evangeline, Braxton, and Matteo. She is further survived by her sisters, Gerrie Fuller and her companion, Dennis; Gloria Reams and her husband, Clark; and Katherine Pierce.

Her legacy is one of love, sacrifice, and family — a life beautifully lived for others.
