Obituary

Albert Joseph Goulet, 76, well known businessman of Island Pond, VT passed away peacefully on July 29, 2026 in Newport. Albert will be remembered for his quiet sense of humor and friendship to many.

Albert graduated from Laconia High School in New Hampshire. He served in the U.S. Army, where he was stationed in Korea during the Vietnam War. He later became the co-owner of Brighton Garage in Island Pond. He and Heather loved to travel to Maine. Every Saturday he loved to go to antique stores and flea markets, where he loved to collect toys, especially Santa Christmas decorations. Among his hobbies, he played basketball most of his life. He loved being a grandfather and loved watching the grandkids play sports.

He is survived by his loving wife Heather, beloved son Jamie Goulet and his wife Brandy, precious grandchildren Kasen and Eva, his sister Bonnie Maurycy and her husband John, their daughter Tiffany, his brother Craig Goulet and his wife Linda, their daughter Janet and sons Chris and Justin, his sister Claire Barnes and her husband Dickey, their daughters Heidi and Heather and son Terry, sister-in-law Judy, her son Scott and daughter Michelle and many more nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his parents Albert and Beatrice Goulet, his brother Brian and his father and mother-in-law Dean and Martha King.

There will be no calling hours or services. If friends desire, memorial contributions in Albert's name may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
